There are gifted moments when the world I see hints at the hidden energies and forms of Great Nature that lay behind the surface of things. In a state of openness and receptivity I explore this dimension and am blessed at times to catch a glimpse of both. I am not interested in making a photograph per se and doubt whether in fact I can really make ‘anything’ happen.

The photograph can be a record of such insights. I do not impose any ideas of how
a photograph should look based on concepts, aesthetics, and the attempts for ‘self-expression’. In fact, revelation can only happen when I get out of the way with all of my conscious intelligence.

The photograph is printed from an exploratory and emotional stance. One has to avoid introducing any ideas of how a ‘good photograph’ should look.
Tonal values, scale, print color, and organization are selected and when unified in the print presents a statement not previously seen and imagined until that particular photograph comes into being. At that moment it presents to me a discovery and insight into the world.
